STERLING – Abaenya Nundu had a hat track and
Kamille Kum added a brace as the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes men's soccer team beat Sterling 5-2 on Wednesday at the Sterling College Soccer Field.
Nundu, better known as Ali, had a hand in all five Coyote goals on the day.
Kum netted the first one in the sixth minute as Nundu assisted. Nundu scored the next two in the 21st and 39th minutes to give the Coyotes a 3-0 lead into the half.
Sterling made things a little interesting in the 57th scoring a goal to make it 3-1, but the Coyotes bounced back and 10 minutes later Nundu completed the hat trick with a goal in the 67th.
Sterling got another goal in the 71st, but Kum finished the scoring in the 84th with a goal assisted by Nundu.
Kum had five shots to lead the Coyotes, while Nundu added four. KWU outshot Sterling 14-12 in the match.
The Coyotes are back in action on Friday night, hosting No. 9 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan at 6 p.m. at JRI Stadium.
