HASTINGS, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan dropped a 6-2 decision to the Hastings Broncos on Wednesday at Lloyd Wilson Field.
Hastings scored four goals in the first 18 minutes of the match to rocket out to a 4-0 lead.
The Coyotes finally broke through in the 38th minute as
Graciela Lopez took a ball in on the right side and finished to the far upper 90 for the goal.
Leoni Enzlmuller made it 4-2 with a goal in the 51st minute, but Hastings responded with a goal 50 seconds later and added another in the 78th minute.
Grace Conner led KWU's offensive output with three shots. Three others had two shots each.
Allison Blumenthal had 11 saves in the match.
Up next for the Coyotes is a trip to McPherson to face Central Christian on Saturday at 5 p.m.
