Women’s Soccer falls to Friends 2-0

Kansas Wesleyan University's Women's Soccer team continued conference play as they hosted the Friends University Falcons on Saturday at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex.
 
The Coyotes did not find the back of the net in a challenging match to the Falcons who scored one goal per half to come away with the 2-0 win, spoiling Wesleyan's senior day.
 
The Coyotes and Falcons both had plentyof shot opportunities in the first half. Friends putting up five shots, finding the net at the 32nd minute. Kieley Aranda scored off the assist by Anahi Ibarra-Arvalo.
 
KWU had three shots in the first half with no goals to bring the score to 1-0 at halftime. Isabella Galvan, KWU goalkeeper had two fantastic saves for the Coyotes in the first half.  
 
Kansas Wesleyan rotated a lot of the roster in and out during the second half. The Coyotes put up 10 shots. Many of which went just above the cross bar. Bailey Mann came in as keeper for the Coyotes for the second half and had four great saves.
 
The Falcons then scored another goal Kieley Aranda to bring the score to 2-0. 
 
The Coyotes are now 9-6-1 on the season, but remain in second place in the KCAC standings.
 
They will continue KCAC play on Wednesday, October 30 against Bethany College. The game will be played at 5:00pm at JRI Stadium at Graves Family Sports Complex.
