SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Kansas Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team competed in their last regular season conference game on Saturday as they journeyed to the easternmost team of the conference to face the Evangel University Valor. The Coyotes fell to the Valor 3-0 after scores of 28-18, 25-10, 25-11.
The Coyotes went run for run with the Valor in the first set after an early attack error and kill by
Kyla Moore to tie it at 7-7. The Volar then went on the 2 point, then point run and kept the first set arm's length fishing at 25-18.
The second set KWU found a handful of strong kills by
Kyla Moore and Rylee Surpan. The Valor strung together a string of deep runs and won the second set 25-10.
Kansas Wesleyan had a few more kills in the third set by
Gianna Adriaanse and
Madelyn Wolf, along with
Sarah Girard. The Valor clinched the third set with the score of 25-11 and win 3-0.
The Coyotes end the regular season 17-12 overall and 7-6 in KCAC play. Kansas Wesleyan finishes 7th overall in the conference and will face the 2nd seed McPherson College Bulldogs in the KCAC Tournament Quarter Finals. That game will be on Tuesday Nov. 12th at McPherson College.
