THE SERIES 
  • The Coyotes 86-71 victory over Tabor on January 6 was their sixth in a row over the Bluejays and gave them a 20-19 advantage in the series since January 2006. KWU is 8-10 in Hillsboro during that time but has won four of the last five there.
  • KWU defeated York 85-69 on January 10 in York, Nebraska and was their seventh consecutive victory over the Panthers. The Coyotes were 1-6 before the current streak began. They are 6-4 against York in Salina since October 2009.

KANSAS WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
  • The Coyotes and No. 9 Southwestern are tied for second in the KCAC standings with two games to go. KWU would get the second seed in the conference tournament by winning both of its games this week. Oklahoma Wesleyan (19-1) has clinched the regular season title.
  • Wesleyan defeated Ottawa 89-83 Monday in Mabee Arena as Alex Littlejohn had 19 point and 13 rebounds. Thurbil Bile and Caden Hale scored 15 each and Jun Murdock had 13 and six assists. Murdock and Littlejohn were named the KCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week on Monday. Littlejohn had 15 and 31 points in KWU's games against Saint Mary and Southwestern last week. Murdock held Southwestern's Cevin Clark to 3 of 7 shooting and four turnovers in the last eight minutes of regulation and the overtime period.
  • Littlejohn had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Bile 22 points and seven rebounds in KWU's first victory over Tabor. Easton Hunter added 14 points. The Coyotes led 52-36 at halftime. Murdock had 27 points, Hunter 17 and Littlejohn 12 points and 11 rebounds in the first victory over York. They forced York into 20 turnovers.

TABOR AT A GLANCE
  • The Bluejays defeated Friends 100-81 Saturday in Hillsboro after losing to Bethel 90-62 Wednesday in Hillsboro. Tabor is 3-3 in its last six games and 6-6 in its last 12. The Bluejays shot 52 percent against Friends and won the rebounding battle 43-31.
  • Freshman guard Jack Voth averages a team-best 15.3 points followed by sophomore forward Thatcher McClure who average 15 and 7.2 rebounds. Junior guard Kalep Crane averages 11.4 points.
  • The Bluejays are getting outrebounded by nearly five per game and opponents are averaging 78 points. Tabor averages 73 points.

YORK AT A GLANCE
  • The Panthers defeated Bethel 73-58 Saturday in York and have won three of their last four – an 88-86 loss at home to Oklahoma Wesleyan last Wednesday the lone setback. York had lost seven of eight before the hot streak and is 5-6 on the road this season.
  • Junior guard Jaden Henderson leads York in scoring (13.7) followed by senior guard Keyaun Hoskin (13.4), senior guard Dwight Glover (12.0) and junior forward Trevon Dennis (11.5).
  • York averages 76 points and shoots 45 percent overall, 36 percent from long distance. The Panthers average nearly eight made 3-pointers per game. The Panthers are giving up 78 points per game.
