Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis dropped a 4-3 decision to the Friends University Falcons on Saturday at Salina Tennis Alliance.
In doubles, the Coyotes won one of the three matches as
Danielle Slack and
Eliza Camp beat Molly Bender and Hanna Wood 6-2. Friends would win the doubles point by winning the other two matches as
Michaela Crowe and
Kristi Henderson lost to Silva Avakian and Mirella Cavalcanti 6-3; and
McKinnley Evans and
Alivia Sherer lost to Jazzmyn Williams and Nikolett Krivek 6-1.
In singles, the matches were split evenly 3-3.
In wins for the Coyotes, Evans beat Krivek 6-1, 6-0; Slack beat Wood 6-4, 6-1; and
Camrynn Bagwell beat Bender 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Friends got wins as Avakian beat Henderson 6-4, 6-3; Cavalcanti beat Crowe 4-6, 6-2, 6-4; and Williams beat Sherer 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
The Coyotes embark on a four-match road trip starting on Monday at Bethel.
