JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Volleyball saw its season come to a close on Friday as the Coyotes fell to GPAC No. 1 seed and No. 9 ranked University of Jamestown in the GPAC Semifinals.
Jamestown won in straight sets 25-15, 25-12, 25-18.
In the opening set, the Coyote and Jimmies kept things close early, but Jamestown was able to pull away as the set progressed, to come away with the 25-15 win.
The second set went the same way, it was close early, but several small runs by Jamestown allowed the Jimmies to pull away for the 25-12 win.
In the third set, the Coyotes trailed 9-7 before embarking on a 3-0 run that gave Wesleyan a 10-9 lead on
Tyler McUne's service ace. KWU led 11-10 when Jamestown went on a 6-0 run to take a 16-11 lead and extended it to 19-12 which proved to be too much for the Coyotes to come back from.
Ryan Wagner led the Coyotes with seven kills, while three others had four each. McUne had 18 assists in the match.
Jeremy Lapeze had 10 digs and McUne had six.
Wesleyan closes its third season of competition with a 14-13 record overall, marking the first winning season in program history.
