HILLSBORO – A small pack of Coyotes had a large impact on Saturday as Kansas Wesleyan Men's Track headed to the Tabor College Invitational at Joel Wiens Stadium.
Keegan Lott won the shot put with a mark of 14.52m, winning the event by over a half-meter.
Simeon Faagai was 10th with a mark of 11.77m and
Cody Flax was 17th with a mark of 10.28m.
Brenden Ellis placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:57.48,
Giovanni Rios was fourth with a time of 1:58.40,
Ian Doss was fifth in 2:00.45,
Damion Jackson was seventh in 2:02.62,
Tytus Reed was eighth in 2:06.91, and
Brodie Bradshaw was 11th in 2:11.30.
Keegan Lott placed third in the discus with a mark of 43.66m and
Simeon Faagai was sixth with a mark of 40.18m.
Simeon Faagai placed sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.47m,
Cody Flax was ninth with a mark of 41.57m, and
Keegan Lott was 16th with a mark of 36.97m.
Triston Cottone was seventh in the 1500m with a time of 4:10.76,
Cisco Alvarez was 12th in 4:15.85,
Jake Cruz was 15th in 4:18.22, Zack Tibbits was 17th in 4:20.71,
Nicolas Martinez was 18th in 4:21.73,
Roman Mai was 24th in 4:32.94 and
Shane Calvin was 27th in 4:46.94.
The Coyotes are back in action this weekend, with a select group heading to the Drake Relays, and the team will head to Baldwin City on Saturday for the Zach Kindler Invitational, the final tune-up for before the KCAC Championships in Leavenworth May 4-5.
