DES MOINES, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan Track school records keep falling at the 114th Drake Relays.
Carter Huyser set a new school record in the 800m run, while placing ninth in the race that featured runners from all levels from NCAA Division I through the NAIA level.
Huyser's time of 1:51.09 sets a new Kansas Wesleyan school record, breaking a 55-year old mark set in 1969 by Glenn Appell. The former record was a converted time from an 880-yard run of 1:52.34.
Huyser's time is also the fourth fastest in the NAIA so far this season.
