LINDSBORG – It was a clean sweep for the Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis team as the Coyotes blanked the Bethany Swedes 7-0 on Thursday night.
The Coyotes won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
Bryce Ware and
Alex Sherer beat Zeke Mumford and Franco Hernandez 6-1;
Jacob Phelps and
Raul Davalos-Gavino beat Carlos Rodriguez Rivas and Alejandro Rico Moran 6-3; and
Benjamin Cechak and
Gavin Chavez beat Matt Lucas and Amare Campbell 6-2.
Wesleyan also ran the table in singles.
Ware beat Mumford 6-3, 6-3; Sherer beat Hernandez 6-2, 4-6, 6-0; Davalos-Gavino beat Rodriguez Rivas 6-1, 6-2;
Adam Hanson beat Rico Moran 6-1, 7-6;
William McMurry beat Lucas 1-6, 6-4, 10-6 and
Jack Hanson beat Campbell 6-0, 6-0.
The Coyotes play Southwestern on Monday at 3 p.m. at Salina Tennis Alliance.
