Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis couldn't find a path past the Bethel Threshers on Saturday, falling 6-1 at the Salina Tennis Alliance Center.
Wesleyan's lone point of the match came at No. 1 singles as
Raul Davalos-Gavino beat Jorge Gabriel Batista 3-6, 6-1, 7-6.
In the doubles flights the Coyotes got one win as
Adam Hanson and
Luke Craft beat Pert Kollar and Zaidh Zihar 6-3. In the other doubles matches Davalos-Gavino and
Jacob Phelps lost to Batista and Jonah Bergeron 6-2; and
Paul Jittawait and
Gavin Chavez lost to James Menard and Bill Haoda 6-3.
In the other singles matches Kollar beat
Adam Hanson 6-2, 6-0; Zihar beat Phelps 6-0, 5-7, 10-7; Rodrigo Sanchez Hurtado beat Craft 6-1, 6-1; Haoda beat
Jack Hanson 6-1, 6-0; and Bergeron beat Chavez 6-3, 6-4.
KWU hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday and Saint Mary next Saturday.
