Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis dropped a match with the Bethel Threshers on Saturday 5-2 at Salina Tennis Alliance Center.
 
The Coyotes would win the doubles point to start the match as the Coyotes got wins as 
Hayden Bellamy and 
Danielle Slack beat Grace Dawes and Patty Huerta 6-3; and 
Alivia Sherer and 
Eliza Camp beat Kate Rowland and Jenna Mahoney 6-4. Bethel got the one win as Daniela Casique and Daniela Herrera beat 
Kristi Henderson and 
McKinnley Evans 6-0.
 
Camp continued her hot streak winning at No. 6 singles for KWU's only other point in the match. She beat Rowland 6-0, 6-4.
 
The match was tied 2-2 with KWU forcing third sets in three flights, but came up short. Evans would lose to Dawes 4-6, 6-0, 6-4; Henderson would lose to Mahoney 6-0, 2-6, 6-1; and Slack would lose to Huerta 7-6, 2-6, 6-2. Bethel got straight set wins as Herrera beat Bellamy 6-4, 6-0; and Casique beat Sherer 6-0, 6-2.
 
KWU hosts Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday and Saint Mary next Saturday.
