DALLAS, Texas – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis dropped a 7-0 decision to Texas A&M Texarkana on Saturday in the Steve Foster Memorial Classic hosted by Texas Wesleyan.
The Coyotes were also supposed to play Lewis-Clark State earlier in the day, but rain washed out the match.
In doubles
McKinnley Evans and
Kristi Henderson lost to Emmanouela Besi and Ana Gonzalez 6-0;
Danielle Slack and
Hayden Bellamy lost to Adrianne Guangko 6-4; and
Lauren Higgins and
Kira McGrown lost to Meghan Connolly and Andrea Castillo 6-0.
In singles, Bellamy lost to Gonzalez 6-2, 6-1; Evans lost to Besi 6-2, 6-0; McGrown lost to Jaelee Young 6-0, 6-0; Slack lost to Castillo 6-1, 6-0;
Ania Bonner lost to Guangko 6-0, 6-0; and
Isabella Gutierrez-Myers lost to Connolly 6-1, 6-4.
The Coyotes are back in action on Tuesday, opening Kansas Conference play at Bethany at 3 p.m. in Lindsborg.
