 THE SERIES
- The Coyotes and Bethany split their two games last season and are 5-5 in the last 10. KWU won 57-47 in Mabee Arena then lost 75-68 in Lindsborg last year. Wesleyan has a 28-15 edge in the series since 2006.
- Friends has won the last two games – both by scores of 64-62 – but they are 5-5 in the last 10. The Falcons have a 24-20 series lead since 2005.

KANSAS WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
- The Coyotes gave a valiant effort against No. 22 Evangel but fell 96-89 Saturday in Mabee Arena. They trailed by 15 three times in the fourth quarter but got within five (92-87) with 1:19 left. Odessa Ozuna led the scoring with 21 points and had five assists and four rebounds. Izzy McCool scored 19 and Anna Jueneman 17.
- Jueneman, a freshman guard, scored 19 in the first game against Friends this season but was the only Coyote in double figures. The Falcons scored the game-winning basket with 3.1 seconds left.
- Ozuna, a junior point guard, continues her breakout season averaging a team-high 13.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists. McCool averages 11.8 points and 5.5 rebounds and Jueneman 9.1 points but is averaging 11.6 in conference play.

BETHANY AT A GLANCE
- The Swedes are on a roll having won four of their last five, including a 76-67 victory over 23rd-ranked Friends on Saturday in Wichita. They outscored the Falcons 22-15 in the fourth quarter. Bethany defeated Sterling 83-68 last Wednesday in Sterling and downed Tabor 57-56 Jan. 7 in Hillsboro. The lone loss in their current streak was to Evangel 87-60 Jan. 10 in Lindsborg. The Swedes are 4-3 in Hahn Gymnasium this season.
- Colbi Rignell is the leading scorer (14.0) followed by Janae Black-Harmon (13.1) and Becca Unruh (11.5). Black-Harmon is the top rebounder (9.9).
- Bethany scores and allows an average of 70 points. The Swedes commit 16 turnovers and force 14 per game. They're shooting 29 percent from 3-point land.

FRIENDS AT A GLANCE
- The loss to Bethany ended the Falcons' 12-game winning streak. Both of their setbacks this season were in the Garvey Center, the first to Evangel on Nov. 15.
- Rayland Garner averages 20.1 points. She had a team-high 18 against Bethany and scored 20 against KWU in the first game. Garner, a senior guard, also leads the team in rebounding at 8.0 per game. Lauryn McIver averages 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists and Abigail Barr 14.2 points and 5.6 rebounds.
- The Falcons average 78 points and allow 68. They have a plus-4.7 rebounding advantage and force 18 turnovers but commit 14 themselves. Collectively they're shooting 34 percent from deep (115 of 341).
