Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer held off an offensive charge by the Friends Falcons on Saturday at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex but ultimately fell to the Falcons 1-0.
The lone tally of the match came in the ninth minute by Friends, but Wesleyan keeper
Andrew Cole had an outstanding match with 11 saves to keep the match at a one goal difference.
Wesleyan's best chance at an equalizer was in the 53
rd minute as
Juan Manuel Lozada Leon had a shot that was stopped on a diving one-handed save by the Friends keeper.
Friends outshot the Coyotes 22-4 in the match.
Jose Valdez had two of KWU's four shots.
Cole had 11 saves in goal for the Coyotes.
KWU is back in action on Wednesday heading to York.
