Jeremy Gathright

Jeremy Gathright, a native of Oceanside, Calif., returns to Kansas Wesleyan Track and Field Team to coach the jumping/sprinting events after being a graduate assistant from 2014-2016.

Coach Gathright was a member of the Baker University track and field team in Baldwin City, Kansas from 2011-2014, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration. He then came to Kansas Wesleyan University from 2014-2016 where he received his MBA and was a Graduate Assistant for the Cross Country Track and Field Teams. After 8 years in sales for professional sports teams Los Angeles Angels and Atlanta Hawks, Gathright returned to coaching as an assistant with the Laney College Women’s Track and Field Team. 

As an athlete, Gathright was seven-time Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC)  Triple Jump Champion, four-time HAAC 400m Champion, four time HAAC Long Jump Champion, and three-time HAAC 200m Champion. At the NAIA national level, Gathright was a seven-time NAIA national qualifier, six-time NAIA All-American finishing as the Runner up in the 2013 Men’s Triple Jump. Gathright topped his career as the 2013 NAIA Men’s 400m National Champion with a time of 46.62.
