High School: Attended McLean High School in McLean, Texas playing for coach Benju Hausen?Member of Texas Class 1A State Runner-up team in 2010?Was one of five players selected to the State Championship All-Tournament team?A four-time All-District performer in basketball, two-time All-Region performer, and All-State one year?Averaged 20 points per game as a senior?Named Class 1A Player of the Year as a senior and District MVP? Also named Amarillo Globe News Player of the Month in February 2010.
Personal: Parents' names are David and Ginger Haynes ? one sibling John ? enjoys sports, working out and hanging out with friends? nickname "Sheri Girl"? also recruited by Colby CC, Frank Phillips College and Sul Ross University?Aunt Sheri Haynes was a two-time All-Stater at McLean HS in 1974, averaged 42 points per game as a senior, scoring 72 onces in a game, continued to play for Delta State winning an AIAW National Championship in 1975-76, member of the Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame of Texas and selected as one of 100 athletes of the century in Texas.
