Wes Lawhorn has been the Head Women's and Men's Golf Coach at Kansas Wesleyan since December 2024.
This is his second stint coaching golf at Kansas Wesleyan, serving as an assistant coach for the KWU golf teams for the 2023-24 season before taking over as Director of Golf at Salina Country Club.
Lawhorn will also remain in his role with Salina Country Club. SCC is the home course for the KWU golf teams.
Originally from Copan, Okla., Wes Lawhorn is a graduate of Tyro Community Christian School in Tyro, Kan. He attended Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma where he was a member of the Men’s Golf program for three seasons.
Lawhorn served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Van Zandt Country Club in Canton, Texas, The Trails Golf Club in Norman, Okla., and Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club in Nichols Hills, Okla., before coming to Salina.
