Shaquelle Lewis

Shaquelle Lewis comes to us from Kingston, Jamaica and is excited entering his season as the Throws Coach for the Kansas Wesleyan Track and Field Team since joining September 2019.

Coach Lewis was a member of the Vincennes University track and field team in Vincennes, Indiana from 2012-2014, where he received an Associates Degree in Business Administration. At the end of Summer 2014, he transferred to the University of Indianapolis and continued his track and field career as a member of the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds from 2014-2017. At UIndy, he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management and minored in Business Administration with a focus Concentration in Ethics and Business Philosophy.

As an athlete, Lewis was three time NJCAA All American for Vincennes University while also achieving Academic All American status in his studies. Lewis finished his track and field career at Top 3 All Time in Vincennes record books for the Shot Put and Top 5 all time in the Weight Throw. After transferring to UIndy, he was a multiple time NCAA DII Track and Field National Qualifier, he finished his career at UIndy a two-time GLVC Conference gold medalist in the Shot Put, he also won a bronze and silver medal and four time NCAA Academic All American.
