Yadi Toraya joins the KWU Coaching Staff as an assistant coach after an incredible playing career capped with being selected as an alternate for the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada for the full Women’s Mexican National Team.

 

Toraya started at Ventura College in 2009 where she was named to the first team all-conference and in 2010 was the Western State Conference Champion.

 

In 2011 she transferred to KWU where she was a two-time KCAC Conference Champion, KCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and a 2012 KCAC Tournament Champion. Individually, she was a back-to-back KCAC First-Team, All-Region, and All-American selection. In 2012 she was a part of the team that went 20-0-2 and had a NAIA National tournament final 16 appearance.

 

After graduating from KWU, she did preseason with the National Women’s Soccer League’s Houston Dash in 2015 and was called up several times to the full Mexican Women’s National Team.

 

In 2016 she was with the Santa Clarita Blue Heat of the United Women’s Soccer League where they claimed the Conference and National Championship. Toraya was named the UWS player of the week (Week 4), Western Conference team "Starting 11" First team, and All-UWS team "Starting 11" First Team.

 

Toraya was also an assistant girl’s soccer coach for 3 years at Pacifica High School where the team made CIF playoffs every year.
