Jessica Biegert became the volleyball coach at Kansas Wesleyan in February 2019.
In 2024, KWU finished 17-13 overall and a 7-6 mark in the KCAC. The Coyotes were the No. 7 seed in the KCAC tournament and lost in the first round to No. 2 seeded McPherson. KWU did have a marquee win on the season knocking off then-No. 6 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan in four sets on October 18. The Coyotes had four players named All-KCAC as Rylee Serpan, Kylee Harris and Josie Deckinger were named to the second-team and Gianna Adriaanse was named to the third-team. KWU had 13 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 14 Academic All-KCAC picks.
In 2023, Biegert led the Coyotes to a KCAC Regular Season Championship, the first regular season title for the program since the 2017 season. KWU shared the conference championship with Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2023. The Coyotes posted a 26-10 overall record and a 12-1 mark in the KCAC. KWU reached the KCAC Championship match for a second straight season taking the tournament runner-up spot and earned a second straight berth in the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship Opening Round, the first time in program history for back-to-back NAIA Championship Appearances and the fourth appearance in school history. KWU had five All-KCAC players headlined by first team picks Rylee Serpan, Josie Deckinger, and Kylee Harris. Serpan was named to the AVCA All-West Central Region team. KWU had 12 Academic All-KCAC honorees and nine Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In 2022, Biegert led the Coyotes to a 28-7 record overall and a 10-2 KCAC record. KWU was the No. 3 seed in the KCAC Tournament and won a quarterfinal over McPherson in the KCAC Tournament, then picked up a 3-1 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan in the Semifinal round. KWU then faced Saint Mary in the tournament final and won in a 5-set thriller, scoring the final four points to win the set. Rylee Serpan was named the KCAC Freshman of ther Year and was one of three first-team selections as KWU had six all-KCAC performers. The 2022 team received the AVCA Community Voting Award. Serpann and Elizabeth Hardacre were named as NAIA All-Americans by the NAIA and AVCA. KWU had 13 KCAC Scholar-Athletes and 10 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In 2021, Biegert led the Coyotes to another successful campaign with a 21-9 record overall and a 9-3 mark in the KCAC. KWU was the No. 4 seed in the KCAC tournament and received a first round bye in the tournament. The Coyotes had a KCAC-best 17 Academic All-KCAC selections in 2021, Emily Monson was named the KCAC Defender of the Year, while KWU had three All-KCAC first-team selections and a second- and third-team selection. Monson was named to the MidwestSports.net All-Volleyball team, and was one of three to be named All-Region by AVCA. Monson and Elizabeth Hardacre were named as Honorable Mention NAIA All-Americans.
In 2020-21, Biegert led the Coyotes to a 20-13 overall finish and a 16-8 mark in the KCAC in a split season (fall / spring) due to COVID-19. The Coyotes excelled in the spring with a 10-4 record. KWU had five All-KCAC selections including Emily Monson and Maddy Beckett on the first-team. Monson was named the KCAC Defender of the Year and a honorable mention All-AVCA Regional selection.
In 2019, Biegert's first season at KWU, she led the Coyotes to a third place finish in the KCAC with an 8-4 record in the conference. The Coyotes had three All-KCAC selections, including first-team selection Kendyl Estes, who also received All-AVCA Region honors. Biegert's team had eight Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 12 Academic All-KCAC selections.
Biegert came to KWU after three successful seasons as head coach at McPherson College where she compiled a 77-28 record at McPherson, including a 34-4 mark in 2018. The Bulldogs won the Kansas Conference's regular season championship with a 12-0 record and placed second in the KCAC postseason tournament. She was named the conference's Coach of the Year and the AVCA West Central Coach of the Year
In her first two seasons at McPherson, Biegert helped establish program records for victories with 21 in 2016, and 22 in 2017. She coached four Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, seven All-KCAC players and her first two teams were earned the AVCA Team Academic Award.
Biegert was head coach at Hesston College for five seasons before going to McPherson. Her teams were 73-80 and advanced to postseason play in the Jayhawk Conference Division II in three of the five years. She also worked as fitness director of the Hesston Wellness Center for four years.
Biegert was a graduate assistant at Nebraska-Kearney for one season prior to Hesston and spent the 2008 season as an assistant at Friends, where she received a bachelor's degree in health management. She received a masters in exercise science from Wichita State in 2010.
The former Jessica Cleveland, Biegert lives in Salina with son Jaxson and daughter Brexley.
