STERLING – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer posted a 2-1 victory over the Sterling Warriors on Wednesday at the Sterling College Soccer Field.
 
The victory was the 20th in a row for the Coyotes over the Warriors, and extends KWU's unbeaten streak over Sterling to 23 matches, a 22-0-1 mark since 2005 for the Coyotes.
 
All the scoring was done in the first half for both teams.
 
The Coyotes were first on the board as 
Precious Nwosu scored in the 24th minute to give the Coyotes the lead thanks to an assist by 
Rylie Moreno-Rojas.
 
Sterling got an equalizer in the 35th minute.
 
Just four minutes later the Coyotes regained the lead as 
Paige Proper scored off an assist from 
Sydney Hiatt.
 
Wesleyan had plenty of other chances to score, just couldn't find the back of the net.
 
KWU outshot Sterling 31-3 in the match led by six by 
Grace Conner, while 
Yissel Navarro had five. 
Allison Blumenthal had two saves in goal for the Coyotes.
 
Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday, hosting No. 15 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan at 2 p.m. at JRI Stadium.
