  • Ottawa 15-10, 10-9 KCAC

THE SERIES
  • The Coyotes defeated Ottawa 77-67 in Ottawa in the first game this season and have won four in a row but are just 9-11 against the Braves in Salina since January 2006. The Braves have a 24-17 lead in the series during that span.

KANSAS WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
  • The Coyotes are third in the KCAC standings at 15-4, half a game behind Southwestern and 1½ games ahead of Evangel, which is 14-6. Should they finish in a tie with Southwestern for second, they would get the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament by virtue of having won both games against the Moundsbuilders. The tournament begins February 29.
  • KWU defeated Southwestern 96-93 in overtime in an instant classic Saturday night inside Mabee Arena. The Coyotes trailed 80-70 with 4½ minutes left but outscored the Moundbuilders 11-1 the rest of regulation to force the extra period. Jun Murdock and Alex Littlejohn combined for 41 of KWU's 60 points in the second half and overtime – Murdock finishing with a career-high 35 points while Littlejohn had 31 points and 14 rebounds.
  • Wesleyan outscored OU 45-36 in the second half of the first game after leading 32-31 at halftime. Five Coyotes scored in double figures led by Murdock and Littlejohn with 15 points each; Littlejohn also had 13 rebounds. Thurbil Bile had 11 points and 14 rebounds.

OTTAWA AT A GLANCE
  • The Braves lost to Bethany 89-86 Saturday in Lindsborg, the setback ending a three-game winning streak. The Swedes led 46-36 at halftime and shot 51 percent for the game. Ottawa is 8-5 on the road this season.
  • High scoring junior guards Deondre Buggage and Jayden Hibbitt lead the attack – Hibbitt averaging 20.3 points and Buggage 18.8. Hibbitt had 26 points and Buggage 17 against Bethany; Buggage scored 20 and Hibbitt 11 in the first game against KWU. Angok Anyang, a 6-foot-9 post, averages 9.1 points and 9.7 rebounds.
  • Ottawa averages 82 points and allows 79. The Braves also average nearly nine made 3-pointers and are shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc.
