BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis opened the KCAC portion of its schedule on Saturday as the Coyotes fell to the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles 4-3.
OKWU won the doubles point winning both contested flights as Jewel and Madeline Henderson beat
McKinnley Evans and
Alivia Sherer 6-3; and Nancy Henderson and Nikoleta Aleksic beat
Michaela Crowe and
Eliza Camp 6-1. KWU got a default win in the other flight.
KWU won three flights in singles, one by default. Evans beat Aleksic 6-0, 6-0; and
Camrynn Bagwell beat Aliza Hays 6-0, 4-0 on a retirement.
Kira McGrown got a default win. Oklahoma Wesleyan got three singles wins as Nancy Henderson beat Crowe 6-1, 6-1; Jewel Henderson beat Sherer 7-5, 6-2; and Madeline Henderson beat
Danielle Slack 6-1, 6-1.
The Coyotes are back in action on Monday hosting Sterling at Salina Tennis Center at 3 p.m.
