Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis fell to the Sterling College Warriors 7-0 on Monday afternoon at Salina Tennis Alliance.
In doubles play, KWU won one of the three matches, but saw Sterling capture the doubles point.
Michaela Crowe and
Kristi Henderson beat Rachel Carlson and Nadia Margaritov 6-3 in the No. 2 flight.
In the other doubles matches, Ana Alvarez and Sofia Tominaga beat
Alivia Sherer and
McKinnley Evans 6-2; and Natalia Antkowiak and Giovanna Gaboardi beat
Eliza Camp and
Danielle Slack 6-1.
Sterling came away with wins in all six singles matches. Tominaga beat Crowe 7-5, 6-3; Alvarez beat Henderson 4-6, 6-2, 6-3; Margaritov beat Sherer 6-1, 6-3; Carlson beat Evans 6-2, 6-0; Antkowiak beat Slack 6-1, 6-3; and Gaboardi beat
Kira McGrown 6-1, 6-0.
The Coyotes are back in action on Wednesday heading to McPherson to take on the Bulldogs.
