Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis fell to the Sterling College Warriors 4-3 on Monday at Salina Tennis Alliance.
KWU won one of the doubles flights, but Stelring won two and captured the doubles point.
Bryce Ware and
Alex Sherer beat Alexandre Gaboardi and David Garces 6-0 for the Coyote win. Pedro Felipoff and Louis Boisdenghien beat
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Adam Hanson 7-6; and Robin Baransi and Abhyudit Nagar beat
Benjamin Cechak and
Jacob Phelps 7-5.
The teams split the singles matches evenly 3-3.
Ware beat Felipoff 6-2, 6-1; Sherer beat Gaboardi 6-2, 6-2; and Phelps beat Zack Hash 6-2, 6-1 for the Coyote wins. Boisenghien beat Davalos-Gavino 6-4, 6-3; Esteban Rocha beat Hanson 4-6, 6-3, 7-6; and Garces beat
Luke Craft 6-4, 7-5 for the Sterling wins.
The Coyotes are back in action on Wednesday heading to McPherson to take on the Bulldogs.
