Men’s Soccer tripped up by Evangel 2-1

Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer was tripped up by the Evangel University Valor 2-1 on Saturday at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University.
 
Evangel carried a 1-0 lead into the half as Caleb Kuchta scored off an assist from Andrea Fincato in the 38th minute.
 
The Valor added a second goal in the 68th minute by Juyong Kim, assisted by Rem Harmsworth.
 
Wesleyan had plenty of chances in the final 15 minutes to get a goal, but could not get one until the 89th minute when Mateo Hoyos converted a penalty kick to make it 2-1.
 
The Coyotes tried frantically to get a goal in the waning moments of the match, but could not find the equalizer.
 
KWU outshot Evangel 13-10 in the match. Hoyos led the way with three shots.
 
The Coyotes will look to get back on the winning side of things on Wednesday when the Coyotes welcome McPherson College Bulldogs to JRI Stadium.
