Kansas Wesleyan had another challenge this past Sunday September 29, as they traveled to play a talented Benedictine College. The Coyotes were a little banged up and took on a team that carries 197 players on its developmental roster. Quarterback Sean Mooney, a freshman from Waco,Texas played well, while being under the weather. Sophomore wide receiver Julius Rodgers from Litchfield Park, Ariz. caught a pass for a touchdown. Key players on the KWU defense were Ke'Shawn Dotie as he played running back and linebacker and the three defensive linemen Enijah Russell-Evans, Jacob Flores and Stephen Wilson took all the reps on the line. Kansas Wesleyan took the loss to Benedictine 32-8.
