Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis played host to the 2025 ITA NAIA West Central Regional and the KWU Invitational Doubles Tournament last weekend at Salina Tennis Alliance Center, Salina Central High School and Salina South High School.
In the ITA Regional,
Hayden Bellamy opened with a loss to Mariana Molano Canon of Concordia (Neb.) 6-1, 6-3. She then lost to Laureen Van Drunen of McPherson 8-6.
Corina Salas lost to Zeynep Sila Ege of Texas Wesleyan 6-0, 6-3; then fell to Graziela Dallagnol of Midland 8-5.
Rylee Frye lost to Danna Arroyo of Sterling 6-3, 6-1; then picked up a 8-3 win over Makenna Russom of Bethany. She then lost to Grace Dawes of Bethel 8-5.
Hailey Adami lost to Paulina Hudson of Texas Wesleyan 6-0, 6-0; then lost to Patty Huerta of Bethel 8-0.
In doubles action in the ITA tournament,
Alivia Sherer and
Rylee Frye lost to Helene Kreibich and Lara Heinrich of Morningside 8-2; then lost to Grace Dawes and Kate Rowland of Bethel 6-3.

Corina Salas opened with a win over Alana Lopez Pagan and Chakira Derman of Concordia 9-7. They then lost to Kailee Bailey and Stefany Simplicio of Morningside 8-2.
In the KWU Invitational
Ania Bonner and
Isabella Myers lost to Jacilyn Seachris and Kaelin Maier of Tabor 6-3. The duo then beat Emma Cain and Jordan Grabast of Baker 6-1, then lost to Mara Oswald and Kayla Babcock of Bethel 6-2.
Lauren Higgins and
Alexa Cook opened with a victory over Sammy Reyburn and Viviana Bozich of Avila 6-4. The duo lost to Darece Van Auken and Abrianna Reynosa of College of Saint Mary 6-4, then lost to Elise Richardson and Emily Meyer of Bethany 6-1.
The Coyotes are back in action on Thursday, adding a dual match against Fort Hays State at 3 p.m. in Hays. KWU wraps up the fall season on October 11 with the KCAC Invitational hosted by Bethel College in North Newton.
