Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis dropped a 5-2 decision to Midland University on Friday at Salina Tennis Alliance Center.
In doubles, Midland picked up the doubles point winning two flights. Benjamin Starman and Joren Stevens beat
Luke Craft and
Adam Hanson 7-6, and Daniel Liebig and Jaime De Diego beat
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Jack Hanson 6-2.
The Coyotes got a win at No. 3 doubles as
Jacob Phelps and
Paul Jittawait beat Andrew Hammer and Cayden Brandner-Stanton 6-3.
In singles, KWU got wins at No. 4 as
Jacob Phelps beat De Diego 7-5, 7-5; and
William McMurry beat Brandner-Stanton 6-3, 6-2.
Midland got wins in the other four flights as Stevens beat Davalos-Gavino 6-2, 6-1; Starman beat
Adam Hanson 7-5, 6-1; Liebig beat
Luke Craft 7-6, 6-2; and Hammer beat
Jack Hanson 6-3, 6-0.
The Coyotes have a quick turnaround, playing again on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. taking on Morningside University.
