McPHERSON – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis dropped a 6-1 decision on Monday to the McPherson College Bulldogs.
In doubles, McPherson took all three match-ups to win the point. Oscar Brouwer and Celien Botlan beat
Luke Craft and
Adam Hanson 6-2; Arthur Nardy and Simon Delgadillo beat
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Jacob Phelps 7-6; and Texas Ranger Schmidt and Jayson Wasserfuhr beat
Paul Jittawait and
Gavin Chavez 6-3.
In singles, Wesleyan got its only point of the match as
Jacob Phelps won a retirement by Wasserfuhr in the second set.
In the other singles matches Mardy beat Davalos-Gavino 6-2, 6-3; Brouwer beat
Adam Hanson 6-1, 6-0; Botlan beat Craft 6-0, 6-2; Delgadillo beat Jittawait 6-0, 6-2; and Balazs Temesvari beat
Jack Hanson 6-0, 6-0.
The Coyotes will be back in action on Tuesday, heading to Crete, Nebraska to take on Doane. KWU returns home for the next three matches starting Saturday hosting Bethel.
