CRETE, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis picked up a 4-3 win over the Doane University Tigers on Tuesday.
The Coyotes picked up the all-important doubles point as
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Jacob Phelps beat Andre Hartman and Elliot Dassel 6-4; and
Paul Jittawait and
Zachary Daley beat Christian Jensen and Julio Avila 6-3.
Adam Hanson and
Luke Craft lost to Jose Purizaca and Diego Infante 6-2.
In singles, the teams split the matches 3-3. KWU got wins as Craft beat Dassel 6-2, 6-0;
Gavin Chavez beat Tanner Adams 6-1, 3-6, 10-2; and
Jack Hanson beat Jensen 6-3, 6-0. Doane got wins as Purizaca beat Davalos-Gavino 6-3, 7-5; Infante beat
Adam Hanson 6-3, 6-4; and Hartman beat Jittawait 6-2, 6-0.
KWU hosts Bethel on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Salina Tennis Alliance Center.
