HILLSBORO – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis got a 4-3 win over the Tabor College Bluejays on Wednesday.
Tabor got a point by winning two of three doubles matches. KWU's only win came as
Raul Davalos-Gavino and
Gavin Chavez beat Ethan Kutz and Peter Jost 6-0. Tabor's wins came as Jake Goertzen and Ko Osuga beat
Luke Craft and
Adam Hanson 7-6; and Alexandre Boljesic and John Ferley 6-3.
Wesleyan got four wins in singles to claim the match. Davalos-Gavino beat Osuga 6-2, 6-2;
Adam Hanson beat Goertzen 6-4, 6-3;
Jack Hanson beat Jost 4-6, 6-2, 7-5; and Chavez beat Ferley 6-1, 6-1.
Tabor got wins in singles as Kutz beat Craft 6-0, 6-0; and Boljesic beat
Paul Jittawait 7-5. 6-0.
The Coyotes return to action on Saturday heading to Wichita to take on Friends University Falcons at 11 a.m. at Riverside Tennis Center.
