WICHITA, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Outdoor Track continued its season and saw several new personal bests this week at the Friends Spring Invitational at Adair-Austin Stadium.
The meet was changed from Thursday through Saturday, to Wednesday through Friday due to forecasted inclement weather over the weekend.
Makayla Little was fourth in the 5000m with a personal best of 19:55.18.
In the 1500m
Kierra Jensen placed fourth with a time of 5:11.26,
Shelby Lingle was fifth in 5:17.61,
Mya Schweitzer was sixth in 5:18.20,
Emma McAlister was seventh with a new personal best of 5:19.37,
Micah Dickens was eighth with a time of 5:21.12 and
Joni Schroeder was 11th with a time of 5:27.12.
Lauryn Mikkelson was sixth in the 400m hurdles with a new personal best time of 1:10.36.
Markyla Shaw was sixth in the long jump with a personal best of 4.94m.
Chloe Grusing set a new personal best in the shot put with a mark of 11.58m finishing sixth,
Aunisty McNeal was 19th with a mark of 9.91m and Roselyn Torres was 24th with a mark of 7.77m.
In the discus, Chloe Grusing was eighth with a mark of 36.03m,
Aunisty McNeal was 12th with a mark of 34.32m and Roselyn Torres was 19th with a mark of 26.13m.
Elizabeth Stout was 12th in the hammer with a mark of 38.06m and Roselyn Torres was 19th with a new person best mark of 32.77m.
Markyla Shaw placed 15th in the 100m with a time of 13.18 seconds.
Markyla Shaw was 16th in the 200m with a time of 27.21 seconds.
The Coyotes are headed back to Wichita next weekend for the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State.
