WINFIELD – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis picked up a 6-1 win over the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Monday at TH Vaughn Tennis Center.
The Coyotes won the doubles point winning both of the contested matches and picked up a default win.
Hayden Bellamy and
Eliza Camp beat Alexis Kersten and Natalie Blaufuss 6-1; and
Ania Bonner and
Alivia Sherer beat Adin Bruna and Rosennscar Elie 6-2.
Lauren Higgins and McKlnnley Evans picked up a default.
In singles, KWU won three of the four contested matches. Bellamy beat Kersten 6-7, 6-0, 10-6; Evans beat Blaufuss 6-0, 6-2; and Camp beat Elie 6-1, 6-0. Bonner and
Isabella Gutierrez-Myers got default wins. Southwestern only got one win as Bruna beat Higgins 6-3, 6-4.
The Coyotes get a short break, heading back to action on Wednesday at Tabor.
