HILLSBORO – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis won its second straight match on Wednesday as the Coyotes beat the Tabor Bluejays 7-0.
The Coyotes nearly made it a clean sweep as KWU only lost a total of eight games in the match between singles and doubles.
KWU won all three matches in doubles.
Hayden Bellamy and
Danielle Slack beat Fiorella Villa and Allison Johnson 6-2;
Eliza Camp and
Alivia Sherer beat Piper Foegen and Margaret Bates 6-0; and
Isabella Gutierrez-Myers and
Kira McGrown beat Cassidy Boyer and Sheridan Bussard 6-0.
In singles it was all purple and gold. Bellamy beat Villa 6-1, 6-1; Sherer beat Johnson 6-0, 6-0; Slack beat Foegen 6-0, 6-0; Camp beat Bates 6-0, 6-0; McGrown beat Boyer 6-1, 6-0; and
Ania Bonner beat Bussard 6-1, 6-2.
The Coyotes return to action on Saturday heading to Wichita to take on Friends University Falcons at 11 a.m. at Riverside Tennis Center.
