WICHITA – A late push by the Kansas Wesleyan Women's Soccer team came up just short as the Coyotes dropped a 2-1 decision to Friends University Falcons on Saturday at Adair Austin Stadium.
Wesleyan trailed 2-0 but got a goal in the 73
rd minute as

Jamie Orzel in space and she shot from long distance, finding the net for the goal to halve the Friends lead.
The Coyotes had a few more chances in the last 15 minutes but could not fine an equalizer.
The first half was scoreless as each team had limited chances in the first 45.
The first goal by Friends came in the 48
th minute as Anahi Ibarra-Arevalo scored. Friends doubled its lead in the 67
th on a goal by Samantha Jones.
The Falcons outshot KWU 10-8 in the match.
Minaya Winchester had two shots to lead the Coyotes.
Isabella Galvan had four saves in goal.
Wesleyan is back in action on Wednesday as the Coyotes host York University Panthers at 5 p.m. at JRI Hospitality Stadium at the Graves Family Sports Complex.
