Quatama Massaquoi's 87th minute goal was the difference maker as the Kansas Wesleyan Men's soccer team defeated Central Christian 2-1 on Wednesday at JRI Stadium.
Massaquoi, who played football for the Coyotes the last two seasons, headed the ball home after a delivery of a pass from
Skyler Denny on a set piece following a foul by the Tigers.
It was the Coyotes to tally first in the 41st minute as
Emilio Rodriguez sent one home off a pass by
Juan Manuel Lozada Leon.
Wesleyan would hold the lead until the 62nd minute when Sidney Tippner scored to equalize.
KWU outshot CCC 9-3 in the match, with six shots on frame.
Seth Flores had three shots to lead the Coyotes.
Shae Wirt got the win in goal for the Coyotes with one save.
KWU heads to Hastings, Nebraska on Saturday to take on Hastings College Broncos.
