Competitive Dance finishes third at season opening Falcon Invite

WICHITA, Kan. – Kansas Wesleyan Competitive Dance opened the 2026 season on Friday night finishing third at the Falcon Invite hosted by Friends University at the Garvey Center.
 
The Coyotes scored one of their highest scores in program history on the way to the third place finish with a score of 85.79.
 
KWU was third only behind two NAIA National Championship teams from a year ago in Oklahoma City (fourth) and Baker (seventh).
 
Oklahoma City was the winner of the event with a score of 92.46. Baker was second with a score of 89.63. KWU was third. Bethel was fourth with a score of 82.92, Friends was fifth with a 79.04, Saint Mary was sixth with a score of 71.21 and Southwestern was seventh with a score of 66.54.
 
Up next for the Coyotes will be the lone home competition of the season in the Coyote Classic on January 30 at 4:30 p.m. inside Mabee Arena.
