 THE SERIES

  • This will be the only regular season game between KWU and Southwestern. The Moundbuilders won last year's lone contest 83-82 in Salina, ending the Coyotes' six-game winning streak. The series is even 21-21 since 2006.

KANSAS WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
  • KWU is tied with Avila for eighth place in the conference standings at 9-9 one game behind Saint Mary (10-8) with four games remaining. The top eight teams in the final regular season standings qualify for the KCAC postseason tournament.
  • The Coyotes won twice last week defeating York 85-69 and Tabor 94-90 both in Mabee Arena. Caiden Punt scored 19, Evens Appolon 18 and Jayden Hall 14 against York. Seven Coyotes reached double figures in the shootout against Tabor – Gabe Phillips 15, Brandon Avedon and Hall 14 each, Appolon and Stefan Spray 12 apiece and Braylin Goins and Matthew Garber 10 each.
  • Punt had 23 points including seven 3-pointers in the first game against Bethel but was the only Coyote in double figures. He also grabbed seven rebounds. KWU led 37-34 at halftime but Bethel ended the game on a 9-5 run.

BETHEL AT A GLANCE
