Arndt honored at national level by NAIA, other organizations

Logan Arndt's big week last week has garnered him honors at the national level.

After being honored as the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week this week, Arndt has been named as the NAIA National Player of the Week by the NAIA National Office and as the NAIA Ball National Player of the Week. NAIA Ball is an organization dedicated exclusively to coverage of NAIA Baseball.

Arndt entered the lineup and made an immediate impact across all five games. His strongest showing came in the Southwest (N.M.) series, where he recorded four hits, all home runs, and drove in 12 runs. He kept the momentum going against Evangel (Mo.), collecting at least one hit in each of the three games of the sweep.

For the week, Arndt hit .563 with an impressive 1.375 slugging percentage, helping the Coyotes open KCAC play with a 3-0 mark following the sweep over Evangel.

Kansas Wesleyan faced University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Tuesday, where the Coyotes narrowly fell 12-11 to the Drovers. Arndt continued to swing a hot bat in the game, going 3 for 5 and driving in three runs, and just missed hitting for the cycle, only needing a triple to complete the feat.

KWU is back in action in KCAC play on Thursday and Friday at Avila.
