DES MOINES, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Volleyball dropped a straight set decision to the Grand View Vikings 25-16, 25-20, 25-14 on Saturday.
The first set was tied 3-3 before Grand View went on an 8-0 run to lead 11-3. The big run was the difference in the set as the Vikings took the opener.
Another big run came for GVU in the second set. The Vikings led 6-4 before embarking on a 7-0 run to take a 13-4 lead. The Coyotes trailed 21-13 before making a run scoring five of the next six to get within four at 22-18. GVU would close out the set with a 25-20 win.
Grand View had an 8-2 lead in the third set and pushed the difference out to 21-12 before closing out the set 25-14 and the match.
Conor Williams led the Coyotes with 12 kills and
Kaleb Cui had six.
Dallas Manaku had 21 assists.
Josh Kiely had 10 digs.
KWU takes on No. 6 ranked William Penn on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
