Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis picked up a 6-1 win over the Hastings College Broncos on Sunday at Genesis Salina.
The Coyotes got wins in all three doubles matches to take the doubles point and won five of the six singles matches to claim the overall victory.
In doubles,
Alex Sherer and
Gavin Chavez beat Alex and Ben Hafer 6-2;
Adam Hanson and
Paul Jittawait beat Joel Carter and Aden Ingwerson 6-2; and
Jack Hanson and
Felix Rodriguez beat Ethan Mins and Caden Carter 6-3.
In singles, Sherer beat Carter 6-0, 6-2;
Dawson O'Donnell beat Alex Hafer 6-1. 6-2; Jittawait beat Mins 6-0, 6-0;
Jack Hanson beat Gavin Watterson 6-1, 6-2; and
Gavin Chavez beat Ingwerson 6-1, 6-0.
Hastings got its only point of the match as Ben Hafer beat
Adam Hanson 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
Up next for the Coyotes is the KCAC opening match against Avila on March 7. The match will be played in Newton prior to Avila and Bethel playing that day.
