CRETE, Neb. – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Indoor Track had its last competition before the KCAC Indoor Championships on Saturday as the Coyotes competed in the Fred Beile Invitational hosted by Doane University.
The Coyotes also got their first NAIA qualifier of the season as
Wyatt Johnson got a win in the 1000m with a NAIA B-Standard time of 2:29.80.
Braulio Torres won the 800m with a time of 1:59.99.
In the 3000m,
Ethan Ochana was second in 8:59.83,
Mauricio Mendez was third in 9:23.87, and
Cohen Greve was fifth in 9:34.24.
In the 400m,
Austin Hash was third with a time of 51.93 seconds.
Riley Garcia was ninth in 53.56,
Trace Sump was 10th in 53.74,
Brady Oliver was 12th in 54.43,
Andrew Smith was 13th in 54.47 and DeJaylon Beal was 15th in 54.80.
Additionally in the 1000m,
Nicolas Martinez was third in 2:35.51, Barka Bepeng Jr. was eighth in 2:42.46 and
Luke Adams was 13th in 2:49.87.
Luke Adams was fifth in the mile in 4:42.75,
Efrain Santibanez was seventh in 4:47.98, and
Will Childers was 14th in 4:59.71.
Kristian Paronto was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.50m.
Keegan Lott finished eighth in the seeded section of the shot put with a mark of 14.99m.
Jude Nelson was eighth in the 600m in 1:27.33 and
Logan Topp was ninth in 1:27.67.
Dylan Marks was 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 15.01m,
Keegan Lott was 13th with a mark of 14.61m,
Justin Barker was 23rd with a mark of 13.09m,
Brandon Weimer was 25th with a mark of 12.41m and
Austin Baird was 27th with a mark of 12.12m.
Jamar Armstrong was 20th in the shot put with a mark of 12.33m,
Brandon Weimer was 25th with a mark of 11.36m,
Austin Baird was 27th with a mark of 11.21m and Dylan Marks was 28th with a mark of 11.15m.
Up next for the Coyotes will look to defend their 2025 title at the KCAC Indoor Track Championships at the Heskett Center in Wichita on Friday and Saturday.
