SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis got its first dual win of the season on Saturday as the Coyotes beat the Mount Marty Lancers 6-1.
In doubles, KWU won both of the contested matches and one via walkover.
Dawson O'Donnell and
Paul Jittawait beat Marcos Moreno and Ignacio Gomez 6-1; and Jack and
Adam Hanson beat Daniel Anderico and Patrick Riley 6-0.
In singles, KWU got wins in three of the four contested matches and got two walkover wins.
Alex Sherer beat Moreno 6-2, 6-2;
Benjamin Cechak beat Anderico 6-0, 6-2; and
Felix Rodriguez 6-0, 6-2. Gomez would beat
Gavin Chavez in a three-set match 4-6, 6-4, 10-2.
KWU will not play until February 22 against Hastings.
