SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis got its first win of the season on Saturday as the Coyotes beat Mount Marty 7-0.
The Coyotes won the doubles point by winning the two contested matches.
Hayden Bellamy and
Rylee Frye beat Maria Azul Medina Lobos and Alexandra Salazar 6-3; and
Corina Salas and
Alivia Sherer beat Camila Lopez and Brooklyn McNac 6-0.
KWU got a walkover win in the other doubles match.
KWU swept the four contest singles matches as well, with two other wins via walkover wins.
Bellamy beat Medina Lobos 6-2, 6-2; Salas beat Salazar 6-2, 6-0; Frye beat Lopez 6-0, 6-3; and Sherer beat McNac 6-0, 6-0.
The Coyotes will be back in action on Friday, hosting Northwestern on Friday indoors at Genesis Salina.
