LEAVENWORTH – Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis dropped a match to the University of Saint Mary Spires on Monday 6-1.
The Coyotes got their lone point of the match in singles as
Paul Jittawait beat Korbin Priestley 6-3, 0-6, 10-3.
The doubles point went to the Spires as USM won all three matches. Nils Dueppe and Nudem Koyuncu beat
Alex Sherer and
Gavin Chavez 6-0; Priestley and Evan Maritz beat
Dawson O'Donnell and Jittawait 6-2; and Carlos Grimaldi and Mateo Dargel Argote beat
Jacob Phelps and
Adam Hanson 6-3.
In the other singles matches, Dueppe beat Sherer 6-1, 6-4; Grimaldi beat Phelps 6-2, 6-1; Maritz beat O'Donnell 4-6, 6-3, 6-2; Koyuncu beat Chavez 6-0, 6-4; and Garcia beat Lucas Gomex Giraldo 6-1, 6-2.
The Coyotes are back in action on Wednesday at McPherson.
