Kansas Wesleyan Baseball met up with Concordia University in a mid-week matinee contest at Dean Evans Stadium and the Coyotes came away with a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs.

Concordia is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll, while the Coyotes moved up to No. 12 in the rankings as the polls were released on Wednesday morning.

Concordia took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second as Bronx Lewis hit a solo homer to lead off the inning.

The Coyotes tied it in the bottom of the third inning as
Logan Arndt led off the inning with a solo shot.

In the sixth the Coyotes two runs on the board to take the lead.
Niko Olson led off the inning with a single and
Carter Allen was hit by a pitch. Two batters later
Fernando Ruvalcaba singled to load the bases and
Chris Finocchario followed with a 2-run single to push the Coyotes into the lead.

The Coyotes got a big insurance run in the eighth as Ruvalcaba walked and then scored on
Joe Finder's single.

Olson had three of KWU's nine hits in the game.
Shaw Lee got the win improving to 6-1 on the hill, allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts.
Riley Gwin got his fourth save of the season, pitching the final three innings, holding Concordia without a hit and recording four strikeouts.

The Coyotes are back in action on Thursday at The Dean, hosting Hesston College in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m.
