Kansas Wesleyan Women's Tennis got a big win over the Friends Falcons on Tuesday 5-2 at Salina Tennis Alliance.
The victory boosts KWU's conference record to 8-3 in the KCAC and 11-7 overall heading into Thursday's Kansas Conference finale with Sterling.
The Coyotes opened sweeping the doubles matches.
Hayden Bellamy and
Rylee Frye beat Silva Avakian and Aneth Diaz 6-2;
Corina Salas and
Alivia Sherer beat Emma Sargeant and Carlotta Klee 6-1; and
Hailey Adami and
Ania Bonner beat Tammy-Ann Lombarth and Cha'Lyse Andrews 7-5.
In singles, KWU picked up four more wins.
Salas beat Klee 6-2, 2-6, 6-1; Sherer beat Sargeant 4-6, 6-2, 7-5; Adami beat Lombarth 7-5, 6-4; and
Isabella Myers beat Alana Ewert 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Friends got two wins as Avakian beat Bellamy 6-1, 6-4; and Diaz beat Frye 7-6, 6-3.
The Coyotes host Sterling on Thursday ahead of next week's KCAC Tournament.
