Men’s Volleyball hangs tough with No. 14 Dordt but falls in three sets

Kansas Wesleyan Men's Volleyball hung tough with the No. 14 ranked Dordt Defenders in Saturday's match in Mabee Arena, but Dordt would come away with the straight set win 25-21, 25-20, 25-19.

Dordt raced out to a 5-0 lead to start the first set but the Coyotes battled back to get within a point at 7-6 before tying up the set at 10 on a kill by Dallas Manaku. The Coyotes took the lead briefly at 16-15 before Dordt took a 21-17 lead. The Coyotes fought off two set points before Dordt won the set.

KWU scored the first three points of the second set before Dordt came back and tied it 3-3. A 4-0 run by the Defenders gave them all the margin they needed in the set as the Coyotes got no closer than four points the rest of the set.

The Defenders again took a 5-0 lead to start the final set and the Coyotes couldn't bounce back. Dordt led 24-16 with match point, but the Coyotes got three points to get within five at 24-19 before Dordt finished it.

Conor Williams had 11 kills to lead the Coyotes while Kaleb Cui added seven. Dallas Manaku had 19 assists and three aces. Josh Kiely and Williams had eight digs each.

Wesleyan will wrap up the 2026 season on Tuesday, hosting No. 2 ranked Park University at 7 p.m. inside Mabee Arena.
